Hi Patrice, I simply love your music and always will. I feel like I have known you all my life. I was the one who was first at the record store as soon as I heard your album was going to be released, so you can imagine my collection. That was back in the day when you didn't know what the music sounded like on the album, you just bought it because you loved the artist and you knew it's just got to be good! It is my dream ("The Dream") to meet you some day and I hope my dream comes true, for you are TRULY an inspiration to me. So, "This is all I really know something just won't let me go astray" (One of my favorite songs). Stay sweet as you are and continue to be an inspiration to us all. From one fellow keyboard player, singer and songwriter to another, your sis.

Where do I begin? I feel as though nothing less than a book or academic styled journal could do justice to your insurmountable talents and influence on my musical tastes. Grew up in London England before digital and Internet age, and enjoyed endless hours rummaging through vinyl junkie cellars to find your jazz inspired earlier stuff - right after coming to know of you thru popular culture and the 'Forget Me Nots LP (with the awesome braided hairstyle). It definitely isn't fair to reminisce on this board for countless reasons so I'll summarize by saying thank God that you are still creating wellsprings of beautiful sounds. You are, and always will be, the seedling that sowed my musical taste, the fabric of my everyday existence. Thank you

Your concert with your "friends" at the Ft. Worth Arts Festival last weekend was awesome, one of the very best I've ever heard--and I've heard a lot of concerts by the very best, going back to the days in the early 1970s when I was listening to Chick Corea and Return to Forever at The Bottom line in NYC, Jeff Lorber's group (with then Kenny Gorelick in the lineup), Larry Correll, jazz fusion pioneers Barry Miles and his brother Terry Silverlight (both fellow Princetonians), Herbie Hancock, and such. I hope you pay another visit to this area soon.--Sandy Thatcher

Hello Patrice,

I was born in '68', when I first heard your music, especially For Give Me Nots, I just knew it was good relaxing music to sit back and listen to. I noticed you at a very young age and been listening to you ever since. I have your greatest hits and the Signature CD. Do you have any latest CD's that is out or coming out? God Bless

Your song 'feel so real' is phenomenal...the best ever flow that I've heard in any song, and the power of the lyrics go deeply within. Thank you.

I have been a fan of yours since the Monterey jazz festival in 1978?. I grew up in santa Cruz listening to you while all my friends were into DEVO, Scorpions, or Van Halen :) I even managed to sway a few heavy metal retard friends of mine in into appreciating you as a very talented artist. It was you who awakened my enjoyment of jazz and funk (with special emphasis on piano). I used to get teased endlessly because everyone recognized the crush I had on you as a teenager. I was past caring what they thought however. I can to this day hear a snippet of piano on the radio and instantly recognize you because of your playing style (which I consider technically flawless).

In a Country with so much violence, racism and stereotyping.... you were the one that taught me from an early age that skin color doesn't matter when it comes to music, talent or the love people, (even so-called strangers), should have for each other. For that reason, I will Forget you Nots.

Hello Patrice,

I was born in 1980, and my mother named me after you. I still listen to your music to this day. Where there is love is one of my favorite songs, I plan to quote the lyrics (with your permission) in my wedding program because I can't find a poem that I like more. Thank you for sharing your gift, your influence continues to be expressed in lots of today's music.
